Ms. Ferrer attended the University of Houston where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2001. Before returning to the University of Houston Law Center in 2007 to earn a Juris Doctorate, Ms. Ferrer worked as a paralegal for six years on Property Owners association matters, assisting the law firms she worked for in implementing collection and deed enforcement procedures. During her tenure at the University of Houston Law Center, Ms. Tu served as the Secretary of the University of Houston's Health Law Organization and as Treasurer of the University of Houston's Asian Law Student's Association.
